No Estuary Airport! From left: Cllr Chris Buckwell (Chairman of Grain Parish Council), Cllr Chris Irvine, Cllr Rodney Chambers (Leader of Medway Council) and Cllr Phil Filmer
As part of the ongoing campaign against proposals to build an airport in the Thames Estuary region, Medway Council has produced a number of leaflets, car stickers, badges and posters to enable local residents to show their opposition to these ridiculous proposals.
An airport in the Thames Estuary, particularly Lord Foster’s proposal which would see many of our villages on the Hoo Peninsula concreted over, would be devastating for wildlife in an area which is internationally recognised as a place of scientific and environmental interest and is home to over 300,000 migrating birds each year.
Medway Council is united against these proposals, and is working closely with organisations such as the RSPB to make sure these plans never get off the ground.
You can pick up your campaign posters from the following locations on the Hoo Peninsula;

Bradfords Garage on the Ratcliffe High Way
